The qualified stallion LUKAS 324 owned by John Mellott/Black Horse Valley Ranch, LLC died on October 21, 2011 of natural causes.
A son of Sander 269, imported by the Mellotts in 1983, LUKAS 324 was foaled at the ranch. His birth name was Sir Lancelot, which was changed, upon qualification. LUKAS 324 was judged and approved as a qualified stallion in 1993; he was one of the first stallions born in North America to be approved.
LUKAS 324 had a wonderful temperament – he will be greatly missed by all who were near to him.

Dianneke was imported from Holland in 2003 at which time she began her training at Black Horse Valley Ranch. In 2006 she became 3x Grand Champion mare in halter and walk trot under saddle at IFSHA's World Champion competitions held in Las Vegas, NV. In 2009 she received Grand Champion mare at FHANA's Keuring in Pomona, CA. 2 weeks later she won 1st place in the Dressage Hack class in Reno, NV. at FHANA's 25th Anniversary Horse Show. Dianneke has proven herself through out the years to be a top notch Dressage winning mare. She is currently being trained under Western saddle as well as Driving where she will no doubt be a winner also.

Yvette Dianneke is a coming yearling filly by our Friesian stallion Lukas 324 and out of our three-time IFSHA’s world champion in 2006 in halter and walk-trot under saddle. Yvette Dianneke is very personable, loves attention and is going to move very well. She is a love bug. She clips, stands for trims by our farrier and like her mother and father will be very sensible.
